New Pair of Wings~Kitchen Family Room Update~One Room Challenge Fall 2020~Week 4

The Oregon coast November 2019

Week 4 and happy November! The tile is in! Mum is finishing the edge tiles today and we should be able to start grouting tomorrow, which means we might have a working sink back in by Tuesday! Oh yay!

The new counters are in! Still need to grout, but the tiles are all cut and laid and that’s a big job. Mum’s got skills my friends!

We got up early yesterday and got some much needed supplies, more mastic and got the paint mixed for the walls and cupboards. We decided to go with white cupboards. After looking at several kitchens with mushroom and dark cream cupboards, the white just is so crisp, bright and fresh looking, and what we really want for our small home kitchen.

This next week, week 5, will be full of lots of little projects with paint and fabric, grouting the counters, laying and grouting the backsplash tiles, and lots of clean up work. The demo and tiling has been dusty dirty work and our whole house is effected by the project. Getting the big sink out of our entryway and into the kitchen will be such a relief and having a working sink and dishwasher will be an amazing blessing!

Don’t forget to visit the One Room Challenge fall 2020 featured designers and the other amazingly talented guest participants! Also, I want to give kudos and thanks to Linda the talented creator of the One Room Challenge and her official media sponsor of this event Better Homes and Gardens! Thank you so much for opening the ORC so that we can join as a guest participants!
