New Pair of Wings~Kitchen Family Room Update~One Room Challenge Fall 2020~Week 5

Fall decor at New Pair of Wings

▪︎

It’s been a long hard week and mum is exhausted so we decided it was best to slow things down a bit and take today as a day to rest and recover before we head into next week, but we got so much accomplished for week 5!

Mum starting the subway tile backsplash.

The counters are all grouted and the new sink is installed and plumbed. That was a big big job! Mum has got about 1/3 of the subway tile backsplash up and we have an action plan for painting the cabinets as soon as the tiling is all done. Why are we waiting to paint? To protect the cabinets from getting marred or damaged by the grout or mastic which tends to get messy, and we’ll also have more workspace after the tile saw and other tools have been put away.

Once the backslash is grouted with white grout it’ll look so pretty!

Will we finish next week? I’m not sure. But we’ll do our best to get as much done as we can and we’ll share with y’all whatever we do finish. The kitchen already has a Cinderella getting ready for the ball like feel, and its the finishing touches that will make her really glow and shine!
