Hey there! I hope y’all are having a great week! It”s been an awesome, busy and exhausting week here at our house. We’ve had lots going on with spiritual activities, and winding up the two months of part time ministry and enjoying a special visit from our traveling minister and his lovely wife

We did manage to get some work done on our One Room Challenge sponsored by the amazing Linda at Calling It Home blog.  Well, actually all we did was move furniture around, but there were 3 large pieces that had to be shifted, so it was hard work! We sold the drawer unit we used in the family room for holding tapes and cds to family friends, and then we moved the smaller sideboard that was in the office into the family room in its place. We then moved the dresser that was in the entryway into the office.  Whew!  Lots of sore muscles and a few small bruises, but it was totally worth it!  And we gathered together and organized the paint and tools for beginning the messy paint and wallpaper work next week.

I’ve also been stalking google and pinterest, and I’ve found lots of ideas for using what we already have in the garage and around the house to keep costs down but also to make it soooo very pretty!

I’d like to bring in some mother of pearl accents like capiz shells and opalescent paints to give some soft natural sparkle and still keep it neutral. I’ve sort of been romancing mint and teal with blue this spring and I love how Joanna Gaines used warm neutrals and blues together on one of their Fixer Upper projects last year.

Well that’s about all that’s been happenin’ with us this week. The plan is to paint and wallpaper next week and then move on to the fun stuff for week 5 and 6. Don’t forget to stop by Calling It Home and check out the sponsored House Beautiful contestants and see the awesome talents of the 200+ guest participants too!

Thank you dear friends for stopping by our place and we hope to see y’all next week!

Much love,

Mum and M
